Happy Mid-autumn Festival!
Time: September 30.2026

The Mid-Autumn Bobing (mooncake dice game) custom originated in Xiamen, Fujian Province, and was widely prevalent in areas including Longhai of Zhangzhou, Anhai of Quanzhou, and Kinmen County. Relevant records of this practice can be found in the Taiwan Prefecture Gazetteer compiled during the Kangxi and Qianlong reigns of the Qing Dynasty.

The Mid-Autumn Bobing game traces its origin to Tong'an County of Quanzhou Prefecture in Fujian (present-day Xiamen region, Fujian) and was invented by Zheng Cheng-gong. As a popular public recreational activity celebrated during the Mid-Autumn Festival, it determines participants' prizes based on the result combinations of rolling six dice.
